I want to experience God's voice to know when I am shouting Ps 77:1 "that God would listen to me" and shout back. That his voice would as Becky put it, "be louder than anyone. Duet 28 spoke so loudly to me this week, I have been praying for Brittany Barringer, my CBS bible study leader who has stage 4 lung cancer. She is obeying God in ways unimaginable to me, and hearing powerful words from God. If you want to be truly blessed and inspired then read her blog at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/BrittanyBarringer Everyday through the word God gives me ways to pray for her and his voice speaks to me. The word also gives me encouragement for these situations that we do not understand. God is able to redeem any situation. So I am on my knees every night praying for anyone God brings to mind. And when God shows me something through the FAITH of those RIGHTEOUS I will be listening. Duet 29:29 The Lord our God has secrets known to no one. We are not accountable for them, but we and our children are accountable forever for all that he has REVEALED to us, so that we many obey all the terms of these instructions. Ps 78:18 They stubbornly tested God in their hearts, demanding the foods they craved. God was telling me: stay the course and do what I have revealed to you. He has told me to turn off the TV and I catch myself looking at the guide to see what is recorded. I turned off the record button. I want to obey and not be stubborn. If you want to be unbelievably blessed read Brit's blog and PRAY for her.
I was reading Deut 32:11 about the eagle and her young. Well, this week a woman in our arthritis group gave us some web cam sites, and today a lady I was 'meeting' on the phone from one of my internet groups, told me about the same sites. If you would like to see something just awesome, check out the web cam of Mom and baby eagles. http://www.ustream.tv/decoraheagles It really gives a visual to the verse!
7 out of 7 which mean 96 out of 96 (I'm trusting Pam's counting:) He is a God who is ableto speak louder than any other voice. I think this is my prayer this week...God, speak louder than any other voice in my life. Right now, God is reminding me of the importance of obedience. It is my guard rail during a crazy time.
7 out of 7. I have to keep focused on God's word as I go into this spring. Life is busy with a child graduating from college and one from high school I am in Alaska so it is a big trip to go south for a graduation, but we are getting ready to do this.
I listened to the phone call this morning and I stood and looked out my window at the beautiful ocean view and mountains and was reminded how Great is our God!
"You will experience all these blessings if you obey the LORD your God:" Verse 2
Sometimes I focus on the negative or the curses if you don't listen and obey the LORD. This was a great reading to realize that God wants to bless us.
This coming week I am going to work on memorizing these blessings and maybe with God working in me, I can be a blessing to others.

Week 14: 7 of 7 and 96 of 96
ReplyDeleteDeuteronomy 28:6 speaks very loud to remind me "You will be blessed when you come and when you go out."
Deuteronomy 28: 9 serves as a reminder that "You must obey his commands and do what he wants you to do!"
Combined, and with other readings from the week I am encouraged to spend time to pray and study the word.
