This psalm has been our prayer throughout this week. We hear the praises, petitions, and promises of the pray-er as he speaks to the Lord, whom he loves and trusts. The verses are compelling. They reveal incredible passion and intimacy between God and the pray-er.
Make these verses your prayers:
"I have chosen to be faithful...come and show me your mercy...guide my steps by your Word...I pray with all my heart; answer me Lord..."
Be encouraged,
Becky

I tucked this Psalm into a gift of baby shoes for a upcoming new baby. We even get ideas from the word for gifts right when we need them. Out of town for the call this week.
ReplyDeleteWell, this is Laura.
ReplyDeleteIs Anyone else having trouble posting?
Thought I had read this was fixed (people cant stay logged in and/or post on blogger) but it isnt, at least not from here.
When I sign in, and then post, it clicks back to the sign in screen. I selected Anonymous just to get this to post.
Btw, I was going to say I had to replay the call because when I was on the call, my husband came upstairs to tell me I had a call with Becky.......at the same time I was on the call with Becky.

ReplyDeleteLaura.
7 for 7 for another wonderful week of reading.
ReplyDeleteHi, Everybody!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to be back with all of you, as well. Counting the days now (and the freshmen's first research papers) . . . . Three more days of classes, 120+ research papers, then four more days of exams, followed by one more day to close out everything. . . . June 16th I'll be free. :-)
We survived graduation out on the football field last Wednesday. The temp. was 98 / heat index 103. According to our football coach, the astro-turf has been known to approach 140. No wonder three people fainted! Despite the heat, it was a beautiful ceremony!
Talk with you soon!
Miss you all!
Wanda
My parents went back to Wyoming this morning so now our home is quiet. We were blessed to have them visit for two weeks for my middle daughter's graduation. My father is 80 and really not doing to bad. He has been a rancher his whole life and the work has taken his toll. I think he enjoyed being here where he actually was able to relax and do nothing in particular and not feel guilty.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy the 119 of Psalm. What an encouragement the first two verses are an encouragment to continue in my walk of faith. I have been somewhat discouraged lately since my oldest daughter has been home. I am not sure where she is in her faith, but her choices have me worried. But I will continue to trust in the Lord and find joy in his instructions. Have a great week Ladies.
7 for 7
Wanda happy reading. We look forward to your thoughts when your finished.
ReplyDeleteLorraine, I feel the same way about my son who is home from college. Has nice friends but just not making what appears to be God honoring choices. I was thinking of doing what Becky did when her son came back home read the word everyday together. I might be able to pull it off. Becky what do you think? How can we engage our ho hum kids, they are adults but they still need guidance.
I will address on Thursday's call but I am confident that kneeling prayer brings breakthrough. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to really end after college! Boys are tough...often distracted and sometimes lazy. We usually had a summer school course to take each summer...that helped. B
