Lord,
You watch over me.
You are my refuge,
You are my shield,
You answer my prayers,
I wait for you!
You will restore me,
You are my protector,
You created all things,
You care for me!
You know my hopes,
You watch from heaven.
Your promises are pure,
Your love is unfailing,
You will rescue me.
You have high standards,
You are my Master.
You hear my plea,
You are my strength,
You revive my soul,
You give me victory!
You grant my requests,
You can be trusted.
You are my Shepherd,
You are my King,
You are my Hope.
Be encouraged,
Becky

OK, need to get cracking on this! It would be awesome to compare what everyone comes up with.
ReplyDeleteI am behind......but I'll get it done!
Just reading this gives me goosebumps, now where did I put that list? How timely, as well, I just got off the phone with someone who blatanly lied to me, somebody that I need to be in constant contact with. I need to trust this person and can not. How reassuring that I can trust God that he will lead me in the path of His righteousness. I can leave the bad situation at His feet and He will be my Shepherd, King and ultimate Hope.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the encouragement. I will listen to the call later this weekend.
You'll love this, I gave a daily walk bible to my college roomate this week, it had been wrapped ready to go for months but this was the first time we both had a window to meet. She opened it and said this is exactly what I need, I just asked God last night to direct me to some kind of resource to guide my daily reading of the word. Praise God!!!!
I took these from the perspective of I will...He will.....
ReplyDeletePsalm 1-15 NIV
I will: Delight in the Law
Take Refuge in Him
Cry Aloud to the Lord
Call and He hears
Wait in Expectation
He Will: Accept my Prayer
I will: Give Thanks
He Will: Ordain my praise
I will: Praise Him
He will: Listen to my Cry
I will: Take Refuge in Him
He will: Keep us Safe
I will: Trust in Love Unfailing
Rejoice and Be Glad
Dwell in His Sanctuary
7/7 as of Friday night.
ReplyDeleteHope you all had a blessed weekend.
Hello. Had a nice and safe vacation. It was a vacation from all my electronics as well so I didn't make the call in but just listened to last weeks call. I did manage to read my Bible 7/7 the last two weeks, even while away.
ReplyDeletePsalm 1-25
Lord,
You laugh from heaven.
You are my shield
I will: Call on the Lord
You surround me with godly love
You heal me.
You are my protector
I see: Fingerprints of God
I will: Sing praise to the Lord.
Lord,
Save me for praise.
Where are you?
You are hope for the helpless.
You watch from heaven.
There is evil in the world.
Where are you Lord?
No one seeks you Lord.
Who is worthy?
Lord,
You are always with me.
You hear my prayers.
You save me.
You have instructions for my good.
I can only boast in the Lord.
I will have the strength of the Lord.
Lord,
Don't abandon me.
I will: proclaim the Lord.
Lord,
You are my shepherd.
You are the King of glory.
My life is yours!
Amen
Just reading everyone else's psalm prayers lifts my soul. I couldn't find where I put my list so I will begin again. Becky had it right, write it in your bible.
ReplyDeleteLorraine glad you had a restful vacation. Before this group I would take my bible on vacation but it didn't get read. September 2009 was my start date of the DWB I can't believe how much it has changed me. Now I would't think of not reading it, especially on vacation.
Laura and Lorraine, I love reading your responses. Robbie, I agree that reading these is inspiring!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been home to listen to the live calls for the last couple of weeks but have been blessed by the recordings.
ReplyDeleteJust before I left for yearbook camp, another dear friend passed away. From the time I was 5 years old until I was grown up and out on my own, she lived next door, and every year she and her husband shared Christmas with my family. She often referred to me as her "adopted daughter," and I called her my "second mother."
When I heard that she was back in the hospital, I hurried over there and managed to stay with her, her husband, and several of her other family members from about 6 p.m. until 11:30; the next morning, her niece called to say that she had passed away a little after 5 a.m. I'm so glad I got to be with her that evening, but I left for camp with a heavy heart and had to return early to play for her funeral.
My students were wonderful. We kept in touch by text and e-mail after I left, and my yearbook rep. managed to videotape their presentation and the awards assembly. They came back home with a plaque for Best Writing and Reporting Package, and I'm so proud of them!
The Psalms assignment came at a great time; just going back through the Psalms again helps lift the spirit! Here is my version:
Dear Lord,
You nourish me and guide me.
You shield me from harm.
You rescue me, give me shelter, and allow me to sleep without fear.
You watch over me daily and nightly.
You hear my voice and welcome me into your presence.
You shower me with love and compassion and answer my prayers.
You protect and stand up for me;
My heart is so grateful.
You have placed me in the midst of your beautiful creation;
My soul rejoices in its beauty.
You are both ruler and judge of mankind;
Yet, even when I go astray, you welcome me back into your arms.
You never fail me;
I trust you completely.
You are faithful and pure.
You are steadfast and true.
You guide me and teach me your ways.
You hear me and answer my prayers.
You shelter me and hold me close.
You make a path for me and guide my steps.
You protect me.
You teach me.
You cleanse me and renew my strength.
You give me life and hope and strength.
You protect me and shower me with blessings.
You forgive me and show me your way.
Amen
Wow, I think I need to copy these posts.
ReplyDeleteThey are awesome.
Wanda, I am sorry you lost another dear friend. You have dealt with so much this past year. Blessings to you as school starts up again.
Agree--these are "healthy American women" Psalms:) -- woo hoo!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind words, Laura. The events of the last few months have really shown me how important it is to "number my days" and make the most of them. Each day is a gift, and we should use it wisely. . . .
ReplyDeleteI wish you well also and hope that the coming season brings you and your husband peace and comfort in your job situation.
God bless!
